For instance: <a href=\"http:\/\/dictionary.reference.com\/search?q=choate\">choate<\/a>, meaning complete, perfectly formed, final, etc., derived from the far more common <a href=\"http:\/\/dictionary.reference.com\/search?q=inchoate\">inchoate<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In this same vein, I offer you <strong><em>hypobole<\/em><\/strong>, a figure of speech in which one severely <em>under<\/em>emphasizes something for effect.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m still working on an example.
