Seriously, man. If I’m going to add you to my goof-off folder, I expect to be able to goof off here!
So, now that you have your own server, which experience is more annoying?
a. Damn tech support, when are they going to get off their butts and fix this; or
b. Damn home server, I had things to do and now I have to stop and fix this.
I ask because Joe and I have talked about hosting our sites ourselves, and I suggested that we wait and see how it went for you first. 🙂

If I had gone with a built-from-scratch $300 PC box running some Linux variant, the serving-from-home experience would have been a breeze, short of the learning curve for a Linux box. Instead, I chose to use a ready-to-die Mac laptop as my server, and what the hell, it died!
If you guys go Linux, you could have two separate Apache Web servers plus an IPCop router running on a Celeron with 256MB of RAM or less.
