Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday Margaret took our housemate’s daughter Anastasia outside to help weed the garden and plant pumpkins. They were out there for about four hours. (Some pictures posted by Shawn can be found here.)
Anastatia has some serious hero-worship going with Margaret; after all, she’s a successful professional adult woman, and a veterinarian, no less. Only thing missing is a Shetland Pony Rescue Shelter in the back yard. 😀 Funny thing is, Margaret sometimes seems a little unnerved by it. Despite all the evidence to the contrary, Margaret protests that she’s “not good with kids”. Bullshit, I say, my dear: you’re not good with screamy, crazy, out-of-control offspring-of-mouth-breather kids. Gems like Anastatia are no problem for you.

Anyway, after the punkies were planted, Anastasia made a bunch of signs for the patch. Just thought I’d post a couple of pics here, ’cause they’re so damn cute:

Shawn’s building himself a really cool kid, and I’m delighted that we have a chance to help, however peripherally, in the construction. 😉

Oh, isn’t that cute. Now don’t you want one of your own?

  2. Uncle Andrew Says:

Oh, fuck no; I’m barely mature enough to handle the pumpkins. 😀

So, with pumpkins in the ground, is Anastatia already working on designs for this Halloween’s Jack-O-Lantern carving party?

  4. Uncle Andrew Says:

Joe, that’s a great idea. I’ll mention it to Margaret.
